A voice trained like an instrument
Contemporary vocals with a strong technical base, so you can sing the music you love, safely and with confidence.

Tamzyn Lombard
Tamzyn has been coaching singers for more than 20 years, and The Vocal Factory is the school she has built from that experience: a busy, friendly studio in Sandringham with both adult students and children from age ten.
She specialises in contemporary vocals with a strong technical base, so every student learns to sing the music they love safely and with confidence. Her own background in live performance and songwriting shapes every lesson: it's not only about hitting the notes, but telling the story of a song and owning the stage.
That's why her students don't just sing in the studio. Tamzyn creates and hosts her own showcases, concerts and events, giving every singer, from nervous beginners to advanced singers, a real stage to grow on.
Lead vocalist of Midnight Stanza
Tamzyn doesn't only teach performance, she lives it. She is the lead vocalist of Midnight Stanza, the band she fronts with her husband Ryan, and winners of Battle of the Bands 2026. They play their own songs alongside 80s and 90s pop-rock, folk and country, as a duo or with the full five-piece band, at venues across Johannesburg.
She also performs as a solo artist, and has produced her own shows at the Victory Theatre, Bailey's Live and Theatre on the Square.
